The Siestita People
I’m Erhan Tarhan. My journey began in Thrace, around a kitchen table. Inspired by my mother’s pastries, I took my first steps into the kitchen. I was just a child making profiteroles for neighbors, never imagining that this passion would one day become the center of my life.
Life eventually led me down a very different path: chemical engineering. I spent nine years working in laboratories and four years working as a chef. Yet my passion for desserts never faded. What began as a hobby slowly turned into a professional journey. From boutique pastry making to breakfast presentations, from barista training to dessert techniques, I received extensive education and certifications along the way. What started with brownies and cheesecakes I shared on Instagram gradually became something much more meaningful with every interaction and appreciation.
Moving from Istanbul to Antalya opened a new chapter in my life. Today, I go beyond simply serving desserts, coffee, and tables — I find joy in sharing them within a warm and genuine café atmosphere.
Siestita is the realization of that dream. Here, desserts become happiness, coffee turns into conversation, and breakfast becomes a joyful beginning to the day.
I’m Murat Ali Aydın. For many years, I have pursued the art of “experience design” through architecture, stage, and event worlds. Inspired by the discipline of theater, the energy of organizations, and the spirit of spaces, I created moments that remain in people’s memories. In every project, I aimed to make the invisible visible and transform the ordinary into unforgettable experiences.
Now, this experience comes to life in a different form: Siestita. Bringing together the calmness of the Mediterranean, the elegance of design, and the warmth of sharing, this café is a natural continuation of my journey. Because here, coffee is not simply a drink; it is a stage, a ritual, and a memory.
As an experience designer who has spent years creating dreams, Siestita has become my new stage where I can finally share those dreams with everyone.
